Brahma Dev & Saraswati Devi - The Creator
When Lord Vishnu was in deep meditation a lotus flower emerged from his navel and Lord Brahma was born on top of it. Lord Brahma then became responsible for creating and shaping the universe.
Union of Brahma Dev & Saraswati Devi
Brahma desired someone to assist him in the creation of the universe. He performed intense tapasya (austerities) for thousands of years. Goddess Saraswati arising from a lotus emerged from his navel. Brahma immediately recognised her as his perfect companion. She taught him the Vedas, which he used to create the universe.
Brahma created four more heads, each recited one of the Vedas – Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samaveda and Atharvaveda. However, his fifth head became a source of pride and arrogance.
Rigveda is the oldest and the largest Veda. It contains hymns or mantras praising various gods and goddesses. It also deals with cosmology, philosophy and social issues.
Samaveda is the Veda of melodies and chants. It contains verses that are meant to be sung during rituals and sacrifices. It also has two Upanishads that discuss meditation and knowledge.
Yajurveda is the Veda of prayers and sacrificial formulas. It contains instructions for performing various rites and ceremonies. It also has several Upanishads that explore ethics, metaphysics and spirituality.
Atharvaveda is the Veda of magic and charms. It contains spells, incantations, remedies and curses for various purposes. It also has many Upanishads that deal with topics such as medicine, astronomy and psychology.

- It’s the cosmic, not the “ME” (performing duties with integrity)
- Claims of truth or falsity are assumptions in the absence of proper understanding (withholding judgment)
- Guilt or innocence does not make anyone superior or inferior (recognising the equal worth of all individuals)
- Differences in feelings, values and life goals co-exit; harmony is achieved through prayers of acceptances, not by appreciations and adoptions (praying for harmonious functioning of everyone’s action organs, sense organs and memories)
